WhatsApp will allow users to hide their 'Last Seen status' from specific contacts

WhatsApp has just added some new features to its users, including Communities and emoji reactions. But it seems that there are still many more.

According to WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned messaging platform is developing a feature that allows users to hide their “last visited” status from selected contacts.

According to reports, the quality is currently being tested in the latest WhatsApp beta release for iOS users.

WhatsApp users can limit their status to specific contacts, just like Status. This setting is hidden within the app’s privacy settings. You can disable the last seen option for individual contacts by going to the “Last Seen” category.

WhatsApp will also implement similar features for profile photos and the “about” section. This feature will allow users to control who can view their WhatsApp profile photos.

According to the report, you might see a new option called “My Contacts Except …'” if your WhatsApp settings > Account > Privacy > Last Seen/Profile Photo/About are selected.

As previously reported, WhatsApp has released a series of announcements to Android and iOS users. WhatsApp now supports audio calls with 32 members, new Communities features that allow groups to be organized into larger communities, and a file transfer of 2GB has been added to the messaging platform. It’s now offers several new features for group managers, such as deleting inappropriate or incorrect messages from all chats.

WhatsApp users can respond to text messages using emojis, just like on Facebook or Instagram. It’s easy for users to express their opinions without needing to send many messages quickly.
