If you’re a tech geek like us at Beebom, you’ve probably heard of the man who invented the world’s first USB-C iPhone.

Ken Pillonel is a Swiss engineer recognized for his notable changes to cellphones and other electronics. He is presently earning a Master’s degree in Robotics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

Pillonel created an iPhone with a USB-C connector last year, something Apple has yet to do despite regulatory pressure. The smartphone sold for more than $100,000 on eBay, making it one of the most expensive refurbished iPhone models.

The developer also created the world’s first Android smartphone using Apple’s exclusive Lightning connector earlier this year.

Pillonel has built the first AirPods with a USB-C connector as part of a new mission to make all of his Apple goods USB-C compatible. On his own YouTube account, the tweaker posted a brief video exhibiting some footage of the alteration procedure. He claims that a full-length video will be released soon.
