Samsung Smart Monitor M8 with PC-less productivity slim fit camera launches in India

After launching it worldwide earlier this year, Samsung unveiled its 32-inch Smart Monitor M8 with SlimFit Camera in India. Smart Hub technology on the smart display allows customers to access 4K HDR video-on-demand (VoD) services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV.

The updated Smart Hub allows the Samsung smart monitor to connect to various smart devices without the need for an external device such as a PC or TV. The Smart Monitor M8 is available for pre-order and will be ready for purchase shortly.

Price and availability of the Samsung Smart Monitor M8

Samsung has released the Smart Monitor M8 with a price tag of Rs. 59,999. The monitor is available for pre-order on Samsung Shop, the company’s official online shop.

It will be available in the Spring Green and Sunset Pink colors beginning June 15 on Amazon, Samsung Shop, and other top retail locations. Daylight Blue and Warm White are two additional colors available later this year.

Between June 10 and 14, anyone who pre-orders the Smart Monitor M8 will get a Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 worth Rs. 11,999, an intelligent wireless keyboard worth Rs. 3,499, and a Rs. 5,000 discount. The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 was first introduced to the world in January.

Specifications for the Samsung Smart Monitor M8

The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 has a 32-inch HDR10+ display with a peak brightness of 400 nits and a 4K (3840×2160 pixels) resolution. A height-adjustable stand supports it.

A magnetic and removable wireless SlimFit Camera with full-HD quality is also included with the display. For a better video conference experience, the camera has Face Tracking and Auto Zoom functions.

It also includes two built-in 5W speakers and video calling compatibility for Google Duo and Microsoft Teams.

The Smart Hub feature is available on the Samsung Smart Monitor M8. It enables users to watch 4K HDR content on major VoD platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV.

Users need not connect an external device such as a computer or television to utilize the intelligent display. Users may also gain free access to Samsung TV Plus content, which requires no downloads or registration and tailored entertainment suggestions via Universal Guide.

Samsung’s new smart monitor enables PC-free work. It does not need a computer to use the Internet or edit a paper. Users may connect to it through the improved Smart Hub, which can link to various smart devices.

By allowing users to connect wirelessly to a Windows or Mac PC and utilize technologies such as Samsung DeX, Apple AirPlay 2, and Microsoft 365, the Workspace User Interface puts everything they need on one screen. Users may also use the intelligent monitor to reflect material from their cellphones.

The Smart Monitor M8 includes the Smart Things Hub, allowing customers to connect to and monitor IoT devices in their homes through Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi. IoT devices, such as lighting switches and plug power, provide information to the hub.

The display also has a Far-Field Speech microphone with Samsung Bixby and Amazon Alexa voice assistants. When Bixby is engaged, the Always-on Voice feature of the microphone will show conversation information even if the monitor is switched off.

Samsung’s new smart monitor has a flat-back design and is 11.4mm thick, nearly three-quarters thinner than prior versions, according to the firm. It has several adaptive display functions, including auto-brightness and color temperature changes.
