Samsung is working on a multi-purpose expandable display according to reports

According to a newly discovered concept patent, Samsung may be working on an extendable display. This invention is for a rolling system that expands the display.

The South Korean behemoth might have devised this design to eliminate the requirement for a secondary display. Samsung should be able to use just one display on the device, which may be extended with additional panels as needed.

We can’t be sure whether this design will be produced since just a patent has appeared.

Samsung has submitted a patent with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), according to 91Mobiles. The patent was released on May 27.

According to the patent, this display may be enlarged in all directions. If this new extendable display design proves a success, Samsung may put it with other creative concept screens on its website.

According to a previous source, Samsung might reveal a third foldable tablet with the rumored Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

This gadget might be a foldable smartphone with three screens or a slide-out phablet with a rollable display, similar to the design idea of this expandable display. In the initial year of manufacture, this third gadget is planned to have limited availability.

In related news, tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s specs. According to reports, it will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED main display and a 2.1-inch Super AMOLED secondary display.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is slated to power it with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone includes a 12-megapixel dual-camera configuration on the back and a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It is believed to be equipped with a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging and 10W wireless charging.
