Todd Phillips released new pictures from the upcoming movie Joker 2

On December 25th, 2023, director Todd Phillips shared two new pictures from the sets of Joker: Folie Deux, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 film Joker.

The pictures give a sneak peek into the movie’s world and the characters played by Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

The first picture shows Phoenix’s character, Arthur Fleck, looking thin and messy, seen through a window in Arkham Asylum.

The cell number above him is E258, suggesting that the film will continue Arthur’s story after the first movie’s events. Where he was imprisoned for causing riots in Gotham City.

The second picture shows Gaga dressed as Harley Quinn, with iconic red and black hair and a playful smile.

However, her version of Harley has a more theatrical and glamorous appearance than previous character versions.

This might be a clue that the movie will have a musical aspect. As it has been reported to be a musical sequel.

Fans are excited about these photos and want to see more of Phoenix’s Oscar-winning performance and Gaga’s portrayal of the iconic DC Comics villain.

The film will be released in theaters on October 4, 2024.
