Emma Stone mentioned Taylor Swift at the Oscars

Emma Stone mentioned Taylor Swift‘s song Bigger Than the Whole Sky in her speech after winning Best Actress at the 2024 Oscars for her role in Poor Things.

She thanked her director, Yorgos Lanthimos, and the cast and crew.

Stone also expressed love for her daughter, who was turning three, by saying, I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.

This references a lyric from Swift’s song. Stone and Swift are close friends, and there’s speculation that Swift’s song When Emma Falls in Love is about Stone.
