Ahead of its formal introduction, Xiaomi has announced that the Mi Smart Band 7 Pro will support GPS and have an always-on display (AOD).

The Mi Smart Band 8 will improve over the Mi Smart Band 7, which was released in May.

An improved fitness-tracking experience is anticipated. Later on today, the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro, Xiaomi Book Pro 2022, and 12S smartphone series will be on sale in China.

Through a teaser video shared on Weibo, Xiaomi has hinted at the inclusion of GPS capabilities in the Mi Smart Band 7 Pro.

The Mi Smart Band 7 Pro can provide independent satellite navigation once it has GPS functionality.

Without depending on the linked smartphone, this will give accurate location-based monitoring.

Additionally, the always-on display of the Mi Smart Band 7 Pro is hinted at, allowing users to see the time and date without lifting their wrist.

Additionally, Xiaomi has hinted that the Mi Smart Band 7 Pro would offer quick-release wristbands.

This is an improvement above the swappable bands included with the Mi Smart Band variants currently available.

The Mi Smart Band 7 Pro’s quick-release wristbands may be changed for ones that better suit the user’s preferences and sense of style.

Separately, Xiaomi has teased both fashionable and traditional wristbands that are anticipated to be combined with the new Mi Smart Band.

The Mi Smart Band 7 was released in Standard and NFC versions; the Mi Smart Band 7 Pro is the follow-up.

The pricing of the Mi Smart Band 7 Pro has not yet been disclosed in full.

However, it will probably cost more than the Mi Smart Band 7, launched at CNY 249 (about Rs. 2,900) for the Standard edition. On the other hand, the NFC model cost CNY 299 (roughly Rs. 3,500).
