Xiaomi 12S Ultra flagship smartphone will only be available in China

A few weeks ago, in China, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the company’s most recent flagship model from the Xiaomi 12 range. Additionally, the phone represents a partnership between Xiaomi and Leica.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone has been on sale in the Chinese market, but until recently, there was no information accessible concerning its availability outside.

Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, has now provided additional information about its accessibility.

According to Lei Jun, who announced this on Weibo, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will only be marketed in the Chinese market and won’t be offered for sale outside of China.

However, he added that the worldwide sale of the following models should begin the next year.

The 6.73-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra offers a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits of maximum brightness, and a pixel density of 521ppi.

Its power sources are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

On the rear, it has a Leica Summicron lens system. A 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary sensor make up the triple camera configuration. The phone has a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The phone comes pre-installed with the Android 12 operating system and the manufacturer’s MIUI 13 custom user interface. It has a 4,860mAh battery that can be charged at speeds of 67W by wire, 50W wirelessly, and 10W in reverse.
