Google has formally unveiled the Android 13 operating system update. For Pixel smartphones, it is currently available in its stable version.
In the following weeks, the Android 13 OS update will also begin going out to several other smartphone OEMs. For the worldwide versions of the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi has now released the Android 13 beta.
The first 200 owners of the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro are receiving the Android 13 beta based on MIUI 13. Users must subscribe to a Telegram channel to get information about the OTA update. The Xiaomi Mi Community is not available in India, as is common knowledge.
The MIUI Global Stable ROM must be installed on the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, and the owners of those devices must be members of the Mi Community and have a Mi account to apply the update.
As always, it is advised to backup the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro data before downloading the Android 13 beta. The Xiaomi 12 may get the MIUI 188.8.131.52 TLCMIXM version, while those of the Xiaomi Pro can get the MIUI 184.108.40.206 TLBMIXM version. The download weighs 4.23 GB and contains the August security update as well.
People who want to test the Android 13 beta on their Xiaomi 12/12 Pro devices should be aware that as it is not a stable version, they may run into issues.
If the device still doesn’t start after applying the update, users are encouraged to contact a Xiaomi service center that has been approved.
The stable version will be released when the corporation fixes all the problems from the beta. However, the corporation hasn’t specified a timeline for it.
