Shroud’s return to esports is sensational: Former Cloud 9 CS: GO player, and very famous Twitch broadcaster Michael “shroud” Grzesiek is sensationally returning to Valorant. Sentinels, a North American esports company, announced on Twitter earlier this afternoon that he will join the lineup for the next LCQ competition.
After Hunter “SicK” Mims decided to temporarily leave competitive Valorant because of a problem with his family, this action taken. So naturally, speculation about his replacement arose in response to his resignation. With many people assuming that coach Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty would be the logical choice.
As the signing of Shroud is expected to send interest in the team’s performance surging. We now know that Sentinels had something far more spectacular in its plans.
Sentinels are already one of the most well-known Valorant teams globally because of players like Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan, who have an enormous fan following.
Sentinels dominated the Valorant scene with the team’s Twitch presence and incredible run of success in 2021. Including winning the first-ever international LAN tournament at Masters Reykjavk.
However, the team’s performance has declined, and they have yet to participate in any LAN tournament in 2022. Sentinels hope that adding “shroud,” who hasn’t attended professional esports in a while. That will increase its chances of becoming Champions at the end of 2022.
Everything will depend on how they do in the LCQ for North America.
