Samsung has patented a breakthrough flexible smartphone with a flexible sliding display that wraps around the gadget itself, according to the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) website.

According to the patent description, the gadget will have a flexible display that looks to be an extension of the primary display that reaches up to the center of the back panel sideways. The flexible display will be slidably adjusted, according to MySmartPrice.

According to the photos, the phone will contain a back camera and a front-facing selfie camera. Surprisingly, the back camera may also be utilized for selfies. The smartphone will also include a curved edge display on the front that extends to cover a portion of the rear cover.

Samsung is also developing a smartphone that can fold and unfold in both directions. Two hinges will support the foldable phone’s three display parts. When completely unfolded, the dual-fold smartphone may be utilized as a tablet.

The smartphone includes three screens that can be folded into a Z shape using two hinges, one of which folds inside and the other outwards.

According to the patent, Samsung’s double-fold smartphone would support the S Pen and contain an HDMI connection.

Samsung is also expected to unveil its next-generation Fold4 in Q3 2022, with an enhanced under-display camera (UDC) on internal and exterior panels.

The main camera arrangement on the Galaxy Z Fold4 has also been upgraded, putting it up to pace with the current flagship’s camera quality.

The upcoming Fold 4 is rumored to incorporate a hinge, which might assist in reducing weight. The redesigned hinge will be dust-resistant in addition to being more water-resistant.
