Oppo Introduces ColorOS 13: Features Rollout Timeline and More

Oppo has unveiled ColorOS 13, the company’s newest operating system, worldwide. The updated Oppo skin is built on Android 13, which only began to arrive as a stable upgrade for Pixel smartphones. New features and the Aquamorphic Design are introduced in ColorOS 13. Look at the specifics.

ColorOS 13: Features

The new Aquamorphic Design, which incorporates color themes “influenced by the shifting hue of light between dawn and sunset at sea level,” is the main feature of ColorOS 13

The UI also has components like the Card-style layout, a new system typeface for better readability, and instantly identifiable icons. System animations, the user interface, and its Quantum Animation Engine all use various Aquamorphic effects.

The new Dynamic Computing Engine, intended to boost overall performance, is also available with ColorOS 13. It focuses on two areas: extending battery life to better control how hardware resources are used and keeping as many background programs running as possible to facilitate multitasking.

The latest version has also enhanced Always-on-Display (AOD) capability by including music and food delivery applications like Zomato, Swiggy, and Spotify. Because both OxygenOS 13 and ColorOS 13 use the same source codes, they are more similar than different.

Additionally, there is a brand-new Homeland series of AOD photos that depicts the shifting habitats of species. These “are based on daily temperature variations that will help people pay attention to climate change and the world we live on,” according to the description of the animations.

Additionally, to conserve up to 30% more power, the AOD refresh rate has been lowered to 1Hz. Features like Large Folders, Shelf, and Home Screen Widgets are also included to make managing the home screen simple.

Another helpful feature is the Multi-Screen Link function, which makes it simple to connect Oppo phones to tablets and PCs.

Additionally, Oppo has released the Meeting Assistant, which improves network stability during video conferences, streamlines banner alerts, and lets users add the Oppo Notes shortcut.

Various privacy and security features are included, including the elimination of clipboard history in Android 13, the Nearby Wi-Fi tool for accessing Wi-Fi without disclosing location information, and the Auto Pixelate feature, which will pixelate people’s names and images in conversation snapshots.

ColorOS 13: Release Timeline, Eligible Devices

For the Find X5 Pro and Find X5, ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 is now available. This year, ColorOS 13 will roll out to around 35 more devices across more than 60 countries. The release timetable for Oppo’s ColorOS 13 can be seen here.
