OnePlus Ace Racing Edition launches on May 17

On May 17, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition (also known as the Speed Edition) will be released in China. OnePlus China CEO Li Jie Louis announced some of the main characteristics of the forthcoming smartphone only a few days before its debut, on May 14.

He said the Ace Racing Edition would include an LCD panel with a customizable refresh rate of 120Hz. A MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC will also power it.

This phone looks to be based on the OnePlus 10 Pro’s design, and it will be available in blue and grey.

Li Jie announced on Weibo. The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition will include an LCD screen with six levels of variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, as we previously reported.

In addition, he believes that the new OnePlus smartphone would be able to automatically modify the refresh rate based on what is shown on the screen to optimize battery life.

A MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC will also be included in this phone.

The OnePlus Ace was released in April as a standard model. It sports a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. A Dimensity 8100-Max SoC is also used to power it.

The Ace has a 4,500mAh battery with a 150W Super Flash Charge rapid charging compatibility.

The phone will include a triple back camera system, with a 64-megapixel primary sensor and 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel secondary sensors. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is possible.
