Nubia Z40S Pro flagship smartphone goes on sale in China

Nubia just unveiled the Nubia Z40S Pro, their newest flagship smartphone, in its native market of China. It is an improved model of the Z40 Pro smartphone, which was introduced in February of this year.

The Nubia Z40S Pro is already marketed in China, just a few days after the formal launch. The basic model is priced at 3,399 yuan, while the top-end variant is priced at 6,699 yuan.

Priced at 3,399 yuan for the 8GB + 128GB variant and 3,699 yuan (about $548) for the 8GB + 256GB model. The pricing of the 12GB + 256GB variant is 3,999 yuan (about $592), while the 12GB + 512GB model is 4,499 yuan (about $666).

On the other hand, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant with 120W fast charging capabilities costs 4,299 yuan (about $637), while the 18GB + 1TB model costs 6,699 yuan (about $992). The Spirit Cage Limited Edition also costs 4,699 yuan (about $695) and has 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

The 6.67-inch OLED screen on the Nubia Z40S Pro has Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits.

The smartphone has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. It contains a 3062mm2 vapor chamber unit for heat dissipation.

The phone’s 64-megapixel primary camera is a custom-made 35mm Sony IMX787 with an f/1.6 aperture and OIS capability.

It is connected to an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The gadget has a 16-megapixel camera that can use for selfies and video calls.

The smartphone comes pre-installed with the Android 12 operating system and the manufacturer’s MyOS 12 bespoke user interface.

The gadget supports a 5,000mAh battery and 80W rapid charging. Another variation comes with a 4,600mAh battery and 120W quick charging.
