Lenovo Launches ThinkPad P16 and ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise Laptops

On Tuesday, Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad P16 and ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise models, which use the newest 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs. The first has a 16-inch display, while the second has a 14-inch display. 

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Chromebook employs the latest 12th Gen HX 55W CPU, while the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook uses Intel vPro processors. 

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has a redesigned cooling mechanism for better temperature control. A full-HD Webcam is included in both laptop models. The new ThinkPad P16 will be released later this month, while the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise will be released in June.

Price and availability of Lenovo ThinkPad P16 and C14 Chromebook Enterprise

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 notebook will be available later this month for $1,979 (approximately Rs. 1,53,400) in the United States. Meanwhile, the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise will be available in June for $629 (roughly Rs. 48,800).

Lenovo has not yet released price or availability information for the new ThinkPad laptop models in India.

Specifications of the Lenovo ThinkPad P16

The new Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has an aluminium frame and a 16-inch display with thin bezels, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and an optional 4K OLED touch screen with pen capability. 

The display is also certified for reduced blue light emissions (16:10). Multiple customization possibilities are available with the new workstation.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 comes with NVIDIA RTX A5500 graphics and 12th Gen Intel Core Alder Lake HX processors that operate at 55W. The laptop also comes with up to 16GB of RAM. The new notebook is equipped with up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM and 8TB of SSD storage.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 contains an embedded fingerprint sensor on the power button for authentication. On the new laptop, Lenovo has included a full-HD camera. It also boasts MIL-SPEC (military-grade) durability.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 is equipped with a revolutionary thermal system that includes twin fans, heat pipes, a dual vapour chamber, keyboard air intake, and a dual by-pass design to keep the workstation cool and productive.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has Wi-Fi 6E and optional 4G LTE connectivity. A 94Whr battery is included. According to reports, it will offer the laptop in various Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 Home, Windows 10 Pro, Ubuntu Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Fedora Linux flavours.

Specifications of the Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise

The Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise has a 14-inch full-HD IPS display with optional touch functionality. The display also features thin bezels.

The new Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise is power by Google’s Chrome OS, with the Chrome Enterprise upgrade available. 

The laptop supports up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 CPUs and Intel vPro technology processors with integrated Intel Graphics. The laptop comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB of eMMC storage, and 256GB of SSD storage.

The new Lenovo laptop has speakers that enable Waves MaxxAudio Pro for improved audio performance. It offers a full HD Webcam with a privacy shutter for video calls. 

The Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise includes a touch fingerprint scanner built into the power button.

Wi-Fi 6E, optional 4G LTE Category 9, audio jack, HDMI 2.0 connector, microSD card slot, two USB 4 Type-C ports, and two USB Type-A 3.2 connections are among the Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise’s connectivity choices. There’s also an illuminated keyboard.

A 57Whr battery powers the Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise. It weighs 1.56kg and measures 352.4 x 217 x 19.83mm.
