Launch of Vivo S15, S15 Pro Confirmed; Camera Samples, 80W Charging Tease

According to a post on Weibo by the company, the Vivo S15 and Vivo S15 Pro are expected to debut in China on Friday. The phones’ characteristics and some photography samples were also given by Vivo’s vice president Jia Jingdong (translated). Vivo’s future S15 series smartphones are expected to feature 80W charging.

They have been verified to work with OriginOS right out of the box. The standard Vivo S15 includes a 64-megapixel triple rear camera, while the Vivo S15 Pro is expected to have a 50-megapixel triple rear camera. In the Vivo S15 series, the Chinese electronics company recently released the Vivo S15e model.

Vivo confirmed the official launch date of the Vivo S15 and Vivo S15 Pro in China via a Weibo post. Meanwhile, Vivo’s vice president Jia Jingdong revealed that the forthcoming models would come with a flagship processor and support for 80W charging.

They’re said to be running on OriginOS. The Vivo CEO has also published several photography samples from the Vivo S15 series and the specs. The photographic developments of Sony image sensors in the following phones are highlighted in these examples.

However, the exact timing of the launch is yet uncertain.

According to previous reports, the Vivo S15 Pro might be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

A 50-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro snapper are included in the handset’s back camera configuration.

A 6.62-inch AMOLED display is expected for the Vivo S15. It’ll probably have up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. A triple back camera arrangement with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel shooter, and a 2-megapixel sensor might be included in the device.
