Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also provided a summary of what Apple will reveal with its iPhone 13 family. The new models of the 2021 iPhone lineup will likely feature Apple’s A15 chip and a display notch.

MacRumors cites Daniel Ives, Wedbush analyst, in a report that predicts an iPhone 13 model launch in September. It confirms the Wedbush Securities report, which also recommended a similar launch plan.

The analyst also mentioned that high-end iPhone 13 Pro models would have 1TB storage in the note.

Apple plans to make between 130-150 million iPhone units during the second half. According to the note, the iPhone 13 could be responsible for 35 to 45 percent of all iPhone models manufactured in the third quarter due to the “normal” launch timing.

Ives also suggested that all iPhone 13 models include a laser imaging detection and range (LiDAR) sensor. In contrast to the iPhone 12 models, where the LiDAR sensor was only available for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The LiDAR sensor can be used to enhance AR experiences and autofocus in low-light environments.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also suggested features for the iPhone 13 series. In its weekly newsletter PowerOn, the Apple reporter shared a summary of Apple’s next-generation hardware.

Gurman speculates that Apple might not opt for the “S” models this time but instead choose an iPhone 12, as was previously rumored.

“The second year’s big 5G push is fair marketing reason to jump up to 13, even if the number is considered unfavorable in some areas,” he wrote in the newsletter.

He also suggested that moving to the smaller category could be the reason to upgrade to the iPhone 13 rather than the iPhone 12s.
Gurman confirms the rumors about the features.

However, there are four models in the lineup, with the regular models getting a 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch size.

Usually, they could use a new AI-powered filter system to create different styles in your photos. iPhone 13 Pro models may also have higher quality video recording in ProRes.
Gurman claims that the iPhone 13 models will come with an A15 chip, faster, and have the same number of cores as the A14. New display technology could be available with ProMotion support, which would allow for a refresh rate of up 120Hz for iPhone 13 Pro models. A new iPhone model could also include an always-on display mode.

Gurman claims that Apple will soon introduce the Apple Watch Series 7 with a flatter display and updated technology. It could include audio meditations and a self-explanatory runtime.

Apple is also working on different versions of Time to Walk, introduced in Apple Fitness +.
Gurman forecast that Apple would bring new entry-level AirPods (also called AirPods 3), similar to the AirPods Pro. It includes an in-ear shape, firing stem, and similar design.

However, it is the most significant design update to the AirPods since their initial launch in 2016.

Apple also claims to be working on a new iPad mini. It is said to have thinner bezels and a redesign that may look similar to the iPad Air.

Additionally, Gurman suggests that students may get a thinner, faster, and more powerful 9th-generation iPad. He also spoke about the new MacBook Pro models, which may include an M1X chip.

According to the journalist, the new models should still be available for sale when the current MacBook Pro turns 2.

HMD Global sold 21 million Nokia phones in the third quarter

Nokia’s return to the smartphone market has been a fairy tale in the making.

The battered and abused stalwart is forced to submit by the Apple and Samsung of the world. He then tries to go back and fight the big boys.

How has HMD Global’s new Nokia performed? According to the latest IDC report, not bad. However, this is a remarkable story.

According to IDC’s third-quarter 2017 report, HMD Global saw a 50 percent increase in smartphone shipments.

It is a notable contrast to the average annual growth of other smartphone vendors on the market.

Xiaomi is the only smartphone provider that has seen an increase of more than 50% year-over-year.

Surprisingly, Nokia ranks eighth on the top 10 smartphone makers list, just above LG and Lenovo.

Although the IDC report does not show Nokia’s year-on-year growth, nokiamob.net calculated the number of phones Nokia sold from HMD Global using a graph from the report.

Additionally, they estimate that Nokia sold 20.8 million feature phones and smartphones in the third quarter of 2017, with a tolerance of 0.05.

We know that Nokia sold 12.4 million phones (feature phones + smartphones) in the second quarter of 2017 and 12.1 million phones in the first quarter of 2017.

HMD Global and Microsoft sold 35 million feature phones worldwide, representing 8.9 percent of the entire market.

It is not clear how many of the 21,000,000 phones sold in the third quarter of 2017 were smartphones. Rumors suggest that Nokia sold nearly 3.4 million smartphones during the third quarter of 2017.

Apple is a distant second, while Samsung leads the charge.

Samsung is the market leader of other vendors with a 22% market share. Apple has a 12 percent market share, while Xiaomi is approaching 100 percent year-on-year growth.

Chinese suppliers from China dominated the market in India and China during the third quarter of 2017.

However, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi have overtaken Apple and Samsung. While Samsung is the dominant brand in India, Chinese brands are challenging local brands like Micromax.
