Instagram reels may now be up to 90 seconds long

Instagram has said many times that one of its top focuses is creators. Consequently, Instagram Reels is getting a slew of new features that will assist producers by allowing them to reach a wider audience on the site. Take a peek at what’s on the horizon.

Instagram Has Introduced New Reels Features

First and foremost, to compete with TikTok, Instagram will now let you build Reels that may run up to 90 seconds. This isn’t as lengthy as TikTok’s 10-minute video restriction, but it’s still a welcome feature that will allow producers to add more material to their Reels. 

This feature was first rumored earlier this year and is now available on the platform. Previously, Instagram only permitted Reels to be 60 seconds long.

There’s also a new collection of sound effects, including anything from airhorns to drums and everything in between. This will also assist you in engaging more individuals. 

You may add your audio to the short film, which can be a voice-over or background noise, to give it a personal touch. It just has to last at least 5 seconds.

Interactive stickers, currently accessible on Instagram Stories, are now available on Reels. As a result, you can now use the Poll sticker to solicit feedback from your audience, create a quiz for a fun activity with your followers, and even use an emoji slider to test how well people respond to the short film. These stickers are often used in Stories and may also make Reels more interactive.

Instagram has now offered Templates, which let you construct a Reel based on one that already exists. The audio and clip positions stay unchanged, so all you have to do now is make the necessary modifications. 

This might be beneficial to those just getting started in this field. However, this is yet another page from the TikTok playbook!

Suggested Reels on the Feed, video clipping tools, the option to create and schedule Facebook Reels on desktop, and audio tools like Sound Sync, among other things, have all been added to Facebook Reels.
