Fortnite lifts USD 100 million for Ukraine within nine days

Fortnite lifts USD 100 million for Ukraine within nine days.

When Epic Games first announced that it would be donating revenues from Fortnite sales to the people of Ukraine, many people believed that they would raise a significant amount of money.

They’ve reached yet another incredible milestone with a little more than a week under their belt.

Epic Games stated on Twitter that it had raised $100 million for Ukrainians affected by Russia’s recent invasion, a figure that much exceeds the company’s previous milestone.

On March 22, nearly two days after the donation drive began, the company said that it had raised $50 million.

With the release of Chapter 3, Season 2, Epic Games stated that all revenues from Fortnite would be donated to four charities to aid in the fundraising efforts for Ukraine.

In addition to the other organizations already disclosed, the corporation has now confirmed that it would donate to World Central Kitchen.

The campaign will run through April 3, which means there’s less than a week until it ends. Xbox has also pledged to contribute all revenues from Fortnite purchases sold on the Microsoft Store to Ukraine, joining Epic in this effort.

Epic will undoubtedly continue to gather even more funds with so much time left.

The company said today that a “no building” mode would be permanent in the game in addition to the game’s usual modes.

It means that all new players who joined at the start of the season may be sticking around for a little longer.
