Fawad Khan plays Kamala’s grandfather Hasan in Ms. Marvel Episode 4:  Ms. Marvel episode 4 brought the MCU series to Pakistan’s biggest metropolis, Karachi, satisfying Nani’s (Samina Ahmed) demand from the previous episode.

In doing so, it touched on Kamala Khan’s (Iman Vellani) forebears, with her Nani (maternal grandmother) teaching her granddaughter more about her mother, Aisha (Mehwish Hayat).

Fawad Khan’s first Ms. Marvel debut was there. Unfortunately, while episode 4 suggested we’d see more of Pakistan in episode 5, we don’t know about Khan.

Hasan, Ms. Marvel?

Ms. Marvel’s episode 4 focused on Kamala learning about her past. Nani told her she’s a Djinn. Nani/Sana gave Kamala a picture of her husband, Hasan, Kamala’s Nana, holding hands with Kamala’s mother, Muneeba (Zenobia Shroff). Ms. Marvel’s episode 4 credits revealed Fawad Khan plays Hasan, despite a poor picture.

Kamala searched Karachi Station for information after Nani recounted her Partition escape. Kareem (Aramis Knight) introduced her to Waleed (Farhan Akhtar).

Knight and Akhtar portray members of Karachi’s Red Dagger. Ms. Marvel introduced MCU’s first Pakistani superheroes. Pakistani-American Kamala Her relatives stated it best in Ms. Marvel episode 4.)

The Red Daggers told us how the Noor divides our world from Clandestines’. If they broke that barrier, their reality would overtake ours, eliminating all we know.

In Ms. Marvel episode 3, the four Clandestines escaped jail and pursued Kamala to Karachi. Waleed sacrificed himself to defend Kamala and Kareem during the pursuit.

Akthar’s MCU career seemed to end there, albeit no one is dead in the MCU.

Khan’s debut on Ms. Marvel episode 4 wasn’t anticipated, unlike Akhtar’s. The Pakistani actor’s existence in the new MCU series was known, but we didn’t know his role until this week.

Only a snapshot of him exists. Thus, we know nothing about him. However, Ms. Marvel’s episode 5 may reveal more about him.

Ms. Marvel episode 4 seems to bring Kamala to the Partition period. Khan would be too young to portray Hasan in those years, but I think Ms. Marvel’s episode 5 would span decades.

It would assist Kamala in understanding the Khan family’s history and links to the bracelet. This flashback info dump usually occurs in the episode preceding the series finale.

Ms. Marvel 5 airtime

It makes little sense to cast a famous Pakistani face for a fading picture. Ms. Marvel episode 5 airs July 6 at 12 am PT/12:30 pm IST on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar. Ms. Marvel is available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
