Amber Heard could not pay USD15 million in the Johnny Depp defamation case

Amber Heard could not pay USD15 million in the Johnny Depp defamation case.

The high quantity of money Amber Heard has been ordered to pay astounded Amber and her legal team. One of Heard’s legal counsel, Elaine Charlson Bredehoft, came today to address the situation.

She feels social media had a crucial role in the jury’s verdict and that Amber Heard would file an appeal.

On the other hand, Bredehoft asked Amber Heard whether she would be able to pay the sum, and she responded quickly and to the point.

Amber will be unable to pay her loan, she said emphatically. “Oh no,” says the speaker. “Not at all,” she said emphatically.

According to Bredehoft, a UK judgment declaring Johnny Depp a domestic abuser affected the jury’s decision.

The counter-argument is that the case featured a different defendant and was tried under other legislation.

Amber Heard, in reality, has just gone bankrupt due to her extravagant spending. According to sources who talked to the New York Post, the Aquaman actress is running out of money.

This is due to her legal struggle with Johnny Depp. One report addressed Heard’s extravagant spending on vacations, clothing, presents, and booze.

According to many reports, the 36-year-old actress was forced to change legal counsel. And it relies on her homeowner’s insurance policy to fund the costs of her current lawyers in the case.

The Travelers Companies reimbursed the bulk of Heard’s attorney’s expenses under the provisions of her insurance policy.

Pamela Johnson, a vice president of the insurance firm, was spotted in court with Heard many times throughout her trial in Fairfax, Virginia.

According to legal experts, using a homeowner’s insurance coverage in defamation cases is pretty standard.

However, according to Virginia lawyer Jeremiah Denton, although the insurance company hires and pays the attorney, most policies do not cover judgment costs.

The representatives for Heard and Bredehoft did not reply to a request for comment from The New York Post on the star’s financial predicament.
